In the colours of Rome

As warm as Rome

It was my first time in Rome, also my first time in Italy and I really did not know what to expect. Everybody knows about pasta and pizza, everybody says that the organization in Italy is not the best but going to check that by yourself will make you realize how limited your vision is and will definitely change the image you had about this unique place. My first surprise was to discover how Rome is full of warming colours. More used to the white and grey streets of Paris, most of the buildings in Rome are yellow, red, orange or ochre. It is like walking through a beautiful painting, jumping from colour to colour, hiding in the shade or in the vibrant sun of summer.

Add to that the colours of food and you will be charmed: eating in Rome is like mixing an enormous variety of delicious fresh ingredients like vegetables, cheeses or meats coming directly from different areas of Italy and cooked in their traditional way. Eating in Italy will simply ruin your favorite Italian eatery back home and show you the diversity and the creativity of Italian cooking.

Spending a few days in Rome is like traveling through traditions but also through History. You can feel the past and the ancient time in the walls of Rome, from the famous Colosseum to the little paved streets of Trastevere, from the Piazza Navona to the hundreds of churches that you can find in the city…

It is true that the traffic is terrible in Rome, all the littles streets have been invaded by thousands of cars, motocycles, but you will always find an Italian to help you. The people are as warm as the colours of Rome, I have only been there in May, I can’t imagine in the middle of summer!

  • Welcome

Hello dear visitor, welcome to my photography world. I am a radio frequency engineer who moved from France to experience a new life in Canada. Living far from my friends and family, traveling for fun and for work I created this blog and website to share a bit of my life with them and everyone else interested in photography. I grew up in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the south of the beautiful region of Brittany. As a passionate photographer, I try to catch the best of each moment from the life in the streets to the changing colors of nature. Photography has almost always been part of my life and helps me to understand and remember the beauty of our world. I hope you’ll enjoy your time spent here.
