The photographs presented in this book are from my personal selection from four trips to New York City; the view that I had of this city full of contrasts, a kind of photographic balance, the work of a New York beginner, of an eternal apprentice photographer.<\/p>\n

The familiar sights are there, but from another angle and with a rare stillness, a silence and emptiness that can be found in the early morning hours, during a rain shower, or looking across the water as night falls. There are moments of everyday life on the streets and in the cafes captured unawares. After the shutter has clicked, something else roars into the frame.
