A Canadian Christmas moment

Christmas in the woods

This year we stayed in Canada for Christmas time. We decided to not travel far and enjoy our own area. With two Montreal friends, we found a nice cabin in the woods to hide for four days. An hour away north from Ottawa – Gatineau, close to the Trans Canada Trail, in the heart of the forest at a walking distance of a lake, we could enjoy food, fire and friends. This year the winter has been very late, so there was no snow when we went there. But, after the second day, winter decided to join us and brought with him its magical ambiance. After experiencing the colors of the forest, the crispy leaves under our feet and the sound of the calm lake; the white snow and the sunny sky offered us a beautiful winter moment. Finally, it was just as expected, relaxing, warm and beautiful.

I tried to save the ambiance in my pictures to always remember this charming and simple moment. I hope you all had a nice Christmas time.

  • Welcome

Hello dear visitor, welcome to my photography world. I am a radio frequency engineer who moved from France to experience a new life in Canada. Living far from my friends and family, traveling for fun and for work I created this blog and website to share a bit of my life with them and everyone else interested in photography. I grew up in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the south of the beautiful region of Brittany. As a passionate photographer, I try to catch the best of each moment from the life in the streets to the changing colors of nature. Photography has almost always been part of my life and helps me to understand and remember the beauty of our world. I hope you’ll enjoy your time spent here.
