Cannon Beach

The beach of my childhood adventures

If you have read my previous article: Keep Portland Weird, you know that I was in Oregon for three days. Two of my evenings were dedicated to explore the city of Portland, while my third evening I impulsively decided to rent a car and drive an hour and half to reach the beach of my childhood adventures just before sunset: Cannon Beach. In fact, this beach was used to film the pirate adventure movie The Goonies which I have probably seen a thousand times until the VHS died. I was not sure what to expect but when I discovered for the first time the view from Ecola State Park I knew it was definitely worth the trip. It is one of these stunning landscapes where you have to sit and admire. It is difficult to explain the feeling to finally be for real in one the places that you have seen so many times on TV. It is just a pure pleasure. I walked down on the beach close to the giant Haystack Rock and enjoyed the fresh air of the sea and looked at the sun slowly hiding behind the horizon. The clouds decided to capture the sky and I decided to return to have a last view from Ecola State Park: it was just great, I was alone in the beauty of the earth.

  • Welcome

Hello dear visitor, welcome to my photography world. I am a radio frequency engineer who moved from France to experience a new life in Canada. Living far from my friends and family, traveling for fun and for work I created this blog and website to share a bit of my life with them and everyone else interested in photography. I grew up in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the south of the beautiful region of Brittany. As a passionate photographer, I try to catch the best of each moment from the life in the streets to the changing colors of nature. Photography has almost always been part of my life and helps me to understand and remember the beauty of our world. I hope you’ll enjoy your time spent here.
