The Granville Market on a rainy day

The Granville Market on a rainy day

Last Saturday was my first of four days in Vancouver. The rain decided to be there too in order to limit my possibilities of exploration. As I was staying in downtown Vancouver, I decided to spend the beginning of the day in the market of Granville Island which was twenty minutes by walk from my place. Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping district in Vancouver. It is located across False Creek from Downtown Vancouver, under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge. The peninsula was once an industrial manufacturing area, but today it is now a hotspot for Vancouver tourism and entertainment.  The market has the advantage to be covered, which is good for a rainy day. It is also a nice place to discover nice local products and have a good lunch. I also had the intention to take pictures during my week end, and the market is definitely a place for that. Lots of life and lots of things means lots of fun.

I came back the day after, it was a sunny morning. I stayed on the Granville bridge to look at the sea and all the boats coming and leaving the island. It is definitely a beautiful place to come and visit.

  • Welcome

Hello dear visitor, welcome to my photography world. I am a radio frequency engineer who moved from France to experience a new life in Canada. Living far from my friends and family, traveling for fun and for work I created this blog and website to share a bit of my life with them and everyone else interested in photography. I grew up in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the south of the beautiful region of Brittany. As a passionate photographer, I try to catch the best of each moment from the life in the streets to the changing colors of nature. Photography has almost always been part of my life and helps me to understand and remember the beauty of our world. I hope you’ll enjoy your time spent here.
