Monterey, a great place for winter

Monterey Day Two

On my second day I went to explore the city of Monterey. I started in Cannery Row, the waterfront street of the new Monterey. It was the site of a number of now-defunct sardine canning factories. The last cannery closed in 1973. The street name, formerly a nickname for Ocean View Avenue, became official in January 1958 to honor John Steinbeck and his well-known novel Cannery Row. My exploration continued to downtown where you can follow Monterey’s Path of History. It brings you to the main historic places of the city such as the first Californian theater, the old jail and a lot more. I finished in the harbor on the Fisherman’s Wharf where the tourists like to hang out and have dinner. A great place to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

  • Welcome

Hello dear visitor, welcome to my photography world. I am a radio frequency engineer who moved from France to experience a new life in Canada. Living far from my friends and family, traveling for fun and for work I created this blog and website to share a bit of my life with them and everyone else interested in photography. I grew up in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the south of the beautiful region of Brittany. As a passionate photographer, I try to catch the best of each moment from the life in the streets to the changing colors of nature. Photography has almost always been part of my life and helps me to understand and remember the beauty of our world. I hope you’ll enjoy your time spent here.
