Back to the ocean

The Canadian Maritimes

Finally, I had the chance to visit a part of the Canadian Maritimes. My exploration of Canada can not be complete with this major area. During a week we drove to the south of New Brunswick to explore the bay of Fundy where are the highest tides of the world and reach the Prince Edward Island for a few days. We returned by following the Acadian coast, enjoying the fresh air and the beauty of the ocean all along. Arriving to the east coast of Canada felt like going back home. I found the same atmosphere than on the coast of Brittany: the little villages of fishermen, the birds, the flowers and the trees. The main differences were the colder temperature of the sea and the typical red color of the sand and the rocks. We enjoyed our favorite activities: walking along the beaches, looking at the sunsets and eating fresh seafood like lobster, mussels, scallop… We discovered a wonderful part of Canada, which brought me back to my origins. The spirit of the people of Brittany who came to the Canadian coast in the 17th century to fish and finally decided to stay, is still alive. In a way I felt like doing the same trip that the one they did, discovering a new land and coast for the first time. I am pretty sure that I will return there, it is just calling me.

  • Welcome

Hello dear visitor, welcome to my photography world. I am a radio frequency engineer who moved from France to experience a new life in Canada. Living far from my friends and family, traveling for fun and for work I created this blog and website to share a bit of my life with them and everyone else interested in photography. I grew up in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the south of the beautiful region of Brittany. As a passionate photographer, I try to catch the best of each moment from the life in the streets to the changing colors of nature. Photography has almost always been part of my life and helps me to understand and remember the beauty of our world. I hope you’ll enjoy your time spent here.
